SAGE was established by Kevin Aherne in 2008.
SAGE Restaurant has won many awards over the years andhas received both national and international acclaim fromfood writers and critics.
Fast-track 12 years to March 2020 and, like many others,this family-run business had to rethink how to continue toserve its customers when staying in became the new going out!
SAGE started small and began offering meal pots andcondiments created in the restaurant, packaged with hand-written labels and collected by loyal customers.
Customer demand for SAGE meal pots grew quickly. A full range of nutritious and delicious meal pots, pies and accompaniments are now produced in East Cork and supplied to shops and markets throughout the county.
Staying true to SAGE’s core ethos, only the best quality ingredients are sourced and recipes change with the seasons.
SAGE continues to go that ‘extra mile’ so anyone can enjoy restaurant quality food at home at any time!
